For the fifth consecutive year Ulster Business and Greer Publications are supporting Concern’s Corporate Christmas Gift Appeal. Concern Worldwide, a leading international development agency is asking local businesses to reach out to global communities and give them the Gift of Hope by spending their corporate gifts budget on life changing projects.
“By donating some or all of your gifts budget to Concern, your company will help enhance and transform the lives of the poorest and most vulnerable people in the world. A gift is generally most valued when it is something that is really wanted or need – for millions of people around the world this is food, clean water or basic shelter. For the price of a hamper, you could save hundreds of children from malaria” said Deirdre Murphy, Corporate Relationship Manager for Concern.
Each year this appeal offers businesses an opportunity to buy into innovative projects that will mean long lasting change. For example, this year you can help set up a butter production business in Chad or irrigate the land of small farmers in Mozambique.
Gladys Greer, owner of Greer Publications said “We have made the decision to endorse Concern’s Corporate appeal this year as we feel it is particularly important in the current global economic climate for companies to back sustainable ways for the poorest communities to support themselves. The business world is getting smaller and more driven so we want to ensure the most vulnerable people are not left behind”.
