Sainsbury’s Chief in Belfast for Sport Relief

Colleagues from Sainsbury’s Northern Ireland have literally ‘Gone the Extra Mile’ in fundraising efforts for Sport Relief this year by running a mile with Chief Executive Justin King.

A colleague from each of the 13 stores from Northern Ireland took part in Justin’s very first Sport Relief Mile challenge at 7.30am in the morning at Casement Park in Belfast before moving onto his next challenge in Scotland. Justin ran a mile in locations right across the UK as part of his own Sport Relief fundraising challenge, where he visited 32 stores and ran 32 miles in just four days. Northern Ireland’s Regional Operations Manager Nigel Macaulay and west Belfast Store Manager Ciaran Owens were on hand to help Justin King get to grips with some of the local sports on offer at Casement.
