Britt Megahey, Managing Director of Barclay Communications comments on the company’s big anniversary: “We started as a single retail mobile outlet in Larne, and 15 years later we’re ranked as one of the most diverse and best business communications suppliers in the UK.”
The Barclay Communications’ Race Evening annually attracts nearly 5,000 visitors to the racecourse, and with the prize funds totally 62,500 Euros, the event should play host to another exciting racing spectacle this year.
Britt Megahey: “The race evening launches Down Royal’s summer evenings of racing, it’s our biggest corporate event of the year and we personally invite over 600 customers and partners to join us in our private suite for a full evening of racing and entertainment.”
This year Barclay Communications’ VIP guests will include top Northern Ireland business personalities, Barclay Communications’ worldwide partner, Blackberry, and heads of leading UK telecommunications provider O2.
In the early 2000s Barclay Communications pioneered O2’s advanced business services in the province. In fact, they are the first and only O2 Centre of Excellence in Northern Ireland, but this year they are reminding people that they’re “not just mobile”.
Britt Megahey explains: “To be successful you have to grow with your customers. As technology became more and more engrained into the core of every business, we grew our communications service to meet our clients’ expanding technological needs. Now we can coordinate all their mobile, landline, IT, web and app needs for them.”
Today Barclay Communications has five branches across the UK, over 160 staff members, and they currently hold Belfast Business Awards’ Best Business Expansion honor.
Britt concludes: “We’ve always aimed big and tried to offer something unique to our customers, which is exactly what we’re going to do at this year’s race evening, it’ll be a night that everyone will remember.”
In the past Barclay Communications’ VIP guests have enjoyed track-side massages and games, ice cream carts, competitions, post-race musical entertainment and much more.
General race attendees have also been given the opportunity to win entrance and box tickets, and a £50 bet on the day.
With Barclay Communications promising that this year’s 15th anniversary celebrations will deliver even more surprises, their race evening is definitely one event to watch out for.
