Over 70 representatives from charities across Northern Ireland were recently hosted by Edwards & Co. Solicitors at the first business event in the newly-opened MAC. Guests were informed about the legal, tax and insurance implications of charities seeking to trade to supplement their income.
Jenny Ebbage, Partner at Edwards & Co., said: “Obviously in tough times, charities are seeking new ways to supplement their funding and income and deliver first-class services – but it’s important that in doing so, they don’t fall foul of the regulations involved. At Edwards & Co. we’ve built up a wealth of expertise in helping charities to ensure they’ve got the governance structures and safeguards necessary to trade safely and successfully.”
