The Rainbow Communications Balcony is part of Down Royal’s continued plans to improve the hospitality offering and to bridge the gap between premium hospitality and general admission, making Down Royal the best possible venue for all budgets. The spectacular balcony, with views over the parade ring and finishing line provides further added value for the £55 hospitality package.
With attendance at Down Royal up almost by 10% in 2012, the new balcony, which can comfortably accommodate 60 racegoers, will no doubt prove to be a popular addition to one of Ireland’s best loved race courses. Mike Todd, General Manager at Down Royal says, “The increase in attendance this year to date has been fantastic for us and is a reflection of our continued investment in the course facilities and our customer offering.
“We have worked hard this year to continually improve the completely unique racing experience at Down Royal, whether it’s our substantial landscaping projects for the grounds, or our building expansion plans. With the £4.5million investment back in 2008, £200k last year creating the Dark Horse Wine bar and Café as well as refurbishment plans to the Owners, Trainers and members bar and this additional £40k investment we are proving we certainly never rest on our laurels. We are constantly listening to our customer’s needs and catering for them”
