Mervyn McCall and incoming Finance Minister Simon Hamilton MLA welcome Paul Terrington to the role on IoD NI’s inaugural Directors’ Day.
Mr Terrington, who leads PwC’s 700-plus staff in Northern Ireland, will succeed the current Chairman Mervyn McCall in May 2013.
The announcement was made during the IoD’s inaugural Directors’ Day at the IoD headquarters at Riddel Hall, Stranmillis, which featured an address by MLA Simon Hamilton, who will take over as Stormont’s Finance Minister next year.
IoD NI Chairman, Mervyn McCall, said: “Paul has worked extensively in corporate transformation and strategic change across public and private sector organisations in Northern Ireland and further afield and will bring considerable expertise and proficiency to the IoD.
“I look forward to working closely with Paul in the remaining months of my tenure as the Institute, on behalf of its members, works toward its vision of making Northern Ireland the most enterprising, outward looking and growing economy in Europe.”
Commenting on his new role, Paul Terrington added: “Having met many members today, there are a number of areas I am particularly interested in developing and I look forward to working with members from the public and private sectors to encourage business growth and continuing professional development.”
