Joe Doherty and Roberta Wilson

Roberta Wilson of Mauds receives the Ice Cream Alliances’ Lifetime Achievement Award from president Joe Doherty, on behalf of her late husband, Mauds founder John Wilson.

At the recent Ice Cream Alliance Awards in Harrogate, founder of Mauds, the late John Wilson was honoured with the organisation’s award for Lifetime Achievement for services to the Ice Cream industry.

John’s son David and widow Roberta were delighted to attend and receive the award which recognised the immense contribution of John who built the business and in 2004 became the first ever ice cream producer on the island of Ireland to win the Champion of Champions award – the highest possible accolade the ice cream industry can bestow!

This award comes at a time when Mauds has just revealed a fun-filled new brand image and 6 exciting new flavours promising a bumper summer season for the Carrickfergus based company.
