Kingsmill, the fresh thinking local bread brand is calling on the Northern Ireland public to nominate their favourite outdoor lunch location as part of its new campaign to find the UK's top Lunch Spots.

Working in partnership with the Northern Ireland Tourist Board, Kingsmill wants its Northern Ireland consumers to get involved and nominate their local lunch spots by placing a pin on the map of a specially designed Lunch Spots Facebook app.

Nominate by 15th April 2013 and your local Lunch Spot could make it into the Top 25 UK shortlist and be in with the chance of making it to the top ten spots when put to the public vote from 22nd April.

Each of the ten winning locations will be awarded a Kingsmill Lunch Spot plaque and bench to celebrate it as one of the UK's best Lunch Spots.

Simply visit the Kingsmill Facebook page at www.facebook.com/Kingsmill, place your pin and give your reason for your favourite Lunch Spot and you could be in with the chance of winning the star prize – a £1,500 UK holiday voucher.

So, whether it's the idyllic Fermanagh Lakes, the North Coast or the Mountains of Mourne, Kingsmill wants to hear from you. Perhaps the Lunch Spot has special meaning to you, your friends and family or is simply a great scenic place to get away from it all. Entrants will be asked to place a pin on the map to nominate their entry and provide their reasons as to why the location is their favourite Lunch Spot.

Commenting on the launch of the campaign, Victoria Brown from Allied Bakeries explained: "We're delighted to be launching a campaign to find out what our favourite places are to eat lunch. We'd encourage everyone across Northern Ireland to get involved by visiting the Kingsmill Facebook page and making their nomination to make sure that Northern Ireland is represented in the UK wide competition."

Ruth Burns, NITB's Destination Marketing and PR manager commented "There are so many great locations across Northern Ireland to visit and set up your own Lunch Spots. We all have our favourites so we're delighted to be involved in the launch of Kingsmill's UK wide campaign. By submitting your favourite entry, not only are you in with a chance to win a great prize but it's also an ideal way for people to share the perfect ideas for lunch areas to visit across Northern Ireland."

The Kingsmill Lunch Spots campaign is in support of The Big Lunch 2013, an initiative to get as many people as possible across the UK to have lunch with their neighbours, for a few hours of community, friendship and fun.
