Directors Get your skates on 1

Calling for directors to enter are two of last year's winners, John McMullan from Bryson Charitable Group and Karen Carmichael from mxb along with Christine Adams from the awards' sponsor, Abbey Bond Lovis.

Business directors have been urged to "Get your skates on" and enter the Institute of Directors (IoD) Northern Ireland Director of the Year Awards celebrating excellence in business leadership.

Entries to the awards close this Friday, 11 October 2013, and are open to all business leaders across all sectors, whether they are IoD members or not.

It comes as five of last year's winners prepare to travel to London to compete at the national IoD Director of the Year Awards this weekend.

IoD NI Divisional Director, Linda Brown, said: "Applications received for this year's awards so far have been extremely impressive and are indicative of the outstanding leadership and management skills of our local directors.

"Judging the awards is going to be particularly difficult as each and every one of the entrants has demonstrated extremely high levels of business acumen and business success.

"The awards identify the 'best of the best' and are one of the most esteemed industry accolades in Northern Ireland.

"There are only a few days left so I would encourage directors not to miss out on having their business success both recognised and rewarded by the IoD."

The awards, which are sponsored by insurance brokers and risk management advisors Abbey Bond Lovis, set the standard for business leaders across the U.K.

The winners will then be nominated to compete against their counterparts from across the United Kingdom.

The IoD Northern Ireland Director of the Year Awards celebrate leadership in eight categories:

1. Director of the Year for a Small and Medium Company (small & medium company – 250 or fewer employees)
