BMM

Coaching is one of the fastest growing industries worldwide and investing in people offers tangible business benefits, says Breege McManus of BMM People Development in Newry.

Breege has over a decade of experience in the Irish corporate learning and development sector.

She says: "Investing in people through coaching has huge potential benefits for the individual and the business and there are clear returns."

As evidence, Breege points to the Great Places to Work report into the 100 Best Companies in Europe: "The report shows that the top companies value strategic training and coaching interventions. This year's survey shows an increase of 13% in the average training hours per employee which sits at 80 hours per annum in the top 100 companies listed."

Now more than ever, organisations are focused on results and have identified the need to develop their people to remain competitive.

Breege is a sought after associate through Harvest (Dublin) and works with a number of employers and individuals including Allianz Insurance, Carphone Warehouse, Barnardos, FAS, St Vincent de Paul, Chief State Solicitors Office and Government bodies such as the HSE (RoI). She provides a range of tailored programmes including management, leadership and change programmes, employee engagement, coaching and facilitation, including psychometric testing.

Most recently Breege and her partners have been working with students developing personal statements for UCAS applications and coaching students for competency based interviews: "It's certainly an area of growth for BMM as parents and students increasingly recognise that the interview – in addition to the exam results – are a critical entry point into sought after courses such as medicine, teaching and nursing for example."

BMM People Development has a unique partnership with Kingstown College, making Breege the only coach outside Kingstown eligible to deliver the Advanced Diploma in Personal and Executive Coaching, accredited by the European Mentoring Coaching Council (EMCC).

BMM have run a number of these Advanced Diploma Courses already and the next one begins on the 18th of October in Newry. The course is suitable for anyone in a HR or management role, for individual career development or in preparation for a career change.
