Star Destinations of Corfu & Ibiza help NI families banish January blues

Leading tour operator, Falcon Holidays, today revealed that they have experienced an unprecedented boost in sales hot on the heels of January payday as Northern Ireland families banish their winter blues by booking their trip to summer sun.

January is a time when holiday makers being to plan their summer holiday to the sun and in keeping with tradition sales have got off to a strong start for 2014. However the eagerly anticipated arrival of payday appears to have given many families that extra push to plan their summer break, opting to follow in the illustrious footsteps of the stars by taking advantage of Falcon's new direct routes from Belfast International Airport to the aspirational island destinations of Corfu and Ibiza.

Hundreds of families from across Northern Ireland could be rubbing shoulders with stars such as Pierce Brosnan, Bruce Willis, David Cameron and Kate Moss, who are reported to flock to the child friendly islands to enjoy the spectacular sunset of Ibiza and the historic sites such as Achillion Palace in Corfu with their families.

"The surge in sales is set to continue as holiday makers take advantage of early booking savings* not to mention fantastic all-inclusive deals", the company said.

Carol Ann O'Neill, General Manager, Falcon Holidays, added: "We're delighted that our two new destinations – Corfu and Ibiza – are proving to be a real hit among families in Northern Ireland. Together with our differentiated products offerings such as Holiday Villages and SplashWorld Resorts we ensure we can provide our customers, particularly families, with added value and a totally exclusive holiday experience.

"Early booking offers* are still up for grabs including free child places and free upgrades, so we'd urge local customers to book now while they are still available or lose out on some of the best holiday deals for this year."

Ibiza, once solely renowned as the party capital of the Mediterranean, has in recent years reinvented itself as "must visit" family holiday destination with A-listers Kylie Minogue and Samantha Cameron visiting with family and friends. There are endless activities across the island including fantastic, restaurants and beaches and the 'Hippy markets' that bring towns all over Ibiza alive with bright clothes, jewellery and street performers.

Corfu is one of the most desirable Greek islands favoured for its mild weather, quaint villages as well as a stunning coastline and exquisite landscape.
