At the launch of the FPM Academy are Brian Doran of Southern Regional College, Teresa Campbell,FPM Accountants and Feargal McCormack, the firm's Managing Partner.
The project is targeted specifically at high achieving school leavers and offers a fast track five year employment and training contract and associated Bursary opportunities, the firm said.
FPM also said the FPM Academy will enable an "Academy Associate" to become a qualified Chartered Accountant at least one year earlier than the normal degree option, and to do so debt free. This will be achieved through a partnership between FPM and the Southern Regional College, incorporating a combination of both practical and theoretical training, mentoring, accredited leadership and management Programme, along with work based learning.
Since commencement in 1991, FPM's Training Contract opportunity has resulted in career advancement, with over 100 of the FPM Alumni securing a leadership position in the private and public sectors.
FPM has been recognised for its employment track record, including winning the 2013 Irish News Workplace and Employment Award for Right Place to Work.
