Northern Ireland's vibrant fashion scene is set for a major boost with the forthcoming 2014 Unify Fashion Showcase, in association with Charles Hurst Specialist Cars.
The British Fashion Council estimates that wholesale, retail and manufacturing in the fashion industry has grown by a phenomenal 22 per cent since 2009 to some £26 billion, and Unify NI hopes that the showcase will bring the amazing talent and skills of Northern Ireland's best designers to a wider audience.
Established to assist local designers gain a foothold in international fashion, Unify NI's showcase will take place on Thursday the 15th and Friday the 16th of May in the historic Titanic Drawing Offices in Belfast.
Local designer and manager of Unify NI, David Henderson said, "We formed Unify NI to harness the talent and creativity of Northern Irish designers. The creative industry in Northern Ireland contributes so much to the economy already, but we believe the fashion industry can and should do more.
The Unify Fashion Showcase takes place next Thursday 15th and Friday 16th May 2014 and is supported by local companies including Charles Hurst Specialist Cars – in particular their Aston Martin, Bentley, Ferrari and Maserati brands; North Financial Management and Ground Espresso Bars.
