Adelaide to create 50 new posts in major rebrand

A Belfast insurance broker has pledged to create 50 new jobs over the next three years as it launches a major rebrand.

Adelaide Insurance Services said the expansion will help it service the “double digit” growth which it has witnessed over the last few years, and which it expects to continue in the future.

It currently employs 120 people at its newly expanded Boucher Road office, headcount which has grown from just 27 in 2007.

Growth in the future will be assisted by parent company Cornmarket Group Financial Services, the Dublin-based insurer. Adelaide was initially owned by Charles Hurst when it was founded in 1991 and since 1998 has been part of Cornmarket Group Financial Services

Adelaide will rebrand from September 18 as Cornmarket Insurance Services, although the Adelaide name will remain for its motorcycle service.

“We are replicating our business model which has a proven success record with many organisations throughout the UK and Ireland,” Sam Geddis, managing director at Adelaide said. “By focusing on the larger UK niche markets, we are confident that we will be successful.”

“As far as all their other customer schemes are concerned their mantra will be, “same people, same service and same value for money.”
