A host of top cyber-security experts are set to descend on Dublin later this month as part of the largest annual event of its kind in Ireland.

The Dublin Information Sec will take place at the RDS on October 15. It will see a team of expert speakers address the growing number of critical cyber and IT security issues that threaten businesses in the 21st century.

Some of the speakers include Richard Gold, head of Digital Shadows security engineering team, Michael Gubbins, head of Garda cyber crime unit and Maria Farrell – a writer and tech policy consultant who has worked for ICANN, the World Bank, the International Chamber of Commerce, the Confederation of British Industry and The Law Society of England and Wales.

Keynote speakers include cyber-security and privacy expert, Mikko Hypponen. Those attending will also hear from Adrian Weckler, technology editor at the Irish Independent and Sunday Independent.

Some of the areas up for discussion include emerging mass security problems, cloud security and mobile threat, an organisation’s security health, which includes everything from legal liabilities to data loss protection, and solutions and the future – examining areas such as blockchain and the ‘Internet of Things (IoT)’.
