NISP CONNECT, the entrepreneurship acceleration programme based at the Northern Ireland Science Park has launched its flagship programme, Springboard, designed to deliver bespoke mentoring support to science and technology entrepreneurs at different stages in the business growth cycle.
Backed by a panel of experienced ‘Entrepreneurs and Executives in Residence’ and ‘Domain Experts’, Springboard will offer free coaching to companies and innovators with the potential to achieve £10m to £100m turnover within five to ten years.
Joanne Jennings, Programme Manager for Springboard said: “The NISP CONNECT Springboard Programme is a unique business creation and acceleration programme which will provide local science and technology entrepreneurs with crucial one-to-one mentoring from successful entrepreneurs. It also offers invaluable access to a panel of seasoned experts who will offer free advice on business and financial models, marketing plan, projections, intellectual property matters, due diligence and financing. This broad diversity of feedback is critical for entrepreneurs considering how to commercialise potentially disruptive technology. Through such business model testing and refinement we expect to fast-track more successful innovation entrepreneurs in Northern Ireland.”
Denis Murphy, Entrepreneur in Residence added: “This type of programme did not exist here when I was considering starting my first business and there is no doubt that if it had been, the journey would have been so much easier. The access to one-on-one coaching with an experienced mentor and then to have your business model tested by a range of industry and business experts is an amazing opportunity for local technology entrepreneurs.” Interested entrepreneurs or would be entrepreneurs should visit http://www.nisp.co.uk/Connect/springboard_152.aspx
