The aim of this presentation is to provide Northern Irish companies with an insight into the workings and opportunities that exist within Spain's 21 billion euro food and drink import sector.
At present, opportunities exist within numerous areas such as dairy produce, baked goods, livestock and processed foods and organic and gluten free food product.
Since 2011, Spain has seen a:
- 71% growth in ready-to-serve dishes, frozen and canned food.
- 28.7% growth in international foods, with Spain being seen as the fastest growing market for future prospects in Europe.
Spanish households spend 46% more on food and drink than households in Northern Ireland should also serve to highlight the size of the opportunity on offer.
