The 150-strong audience heard presentations from Nick Fahy on the strength of Bank of Ireland Group and how it continues to support SMEs in Northern Ireland; from Shane Logan on the use of technology to expand business; from Kieran Gilmurray, Head of IT & Operations, Hughes Insurance , who provided an insight into how the business grew from a front room operation into Northern Ireland’s largest independent insurance broker and from Colin Cassidy of Microsoft Ireland on exploiting technology to manage the rapidly changing work environment.
The seminar was part of Bank of Ireland UK’s Enterprise Week, the fifth such initiative run by the Bank in the past two years to actively support businesses in the community by providing them with financial support and practical advice. This time Enterprise Week focused on technology and exports and included the hugely successful in-branch Show Your Business events where both customers and non-customers displayed their goods and services.
