Bill's job requires leadership where the stakes are high and the outcome, on many occasions, is the difference between life and death. Having qualified as a doctor from Queen's University, he trained in surgery at the Royal in Belfast and at the Red Cross Children's Hospital in Cape Town. Now a Consultant Paediatric Surgeon at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children, Bill's surgical career has spanned 25 years. Over the years he has developed some insightful views on personality traits that are important in leaders and, more importantly, when they should and should not come in to play. Bill will reflect on these experiences of 'Lessons in Leadership'.
