The latest investment – terms of which were not disclosed - follows Lough Shore's participation in the start-up's seed funding round last year, which also included angel investor and former Google executive Stephen Lusty.
Lough Shore was founded in 2010 by tech entrepreneur Danny Moore, the former MD of software company Wombat, which was sold to New York Stock Exchange. It invests in both established and promising start-up companies and says it wants to bring ten companies to exit or IPO by 2025.
Founded by Mary McKimm (above) in 2012, Yours Florally is an online platform for the purchase and delivery of flowers. Customers can shop for their chosen bouquet of flowers online, with the delivery and execution of these orders completed through a hand-picked network of local suppliers. Yours Florally has already established a full partner network on the island of Ireland with over 200 florists already using the service. Additionally, the startup plans to announce the first wave of UK partner florists in the coming months.
Lough Shore's Kieran O'Connor, who also sits on the Yours Florally board, said: "Our initial seed investment in Yours Florally was to take the start-up beyond the test bed of Northern Ireland and build a full partner network on the island of Ireland. In the almost 12 months since the investment Yours Florally has done exactly that and more, and now boasts over 200 partner florists."
Yours Florally founder and CEO, Mary McKimm added: "We're thrilled to receive the continued backing of Danny, Kieran and the wider Lough Shore Investments team. This latest round of funding will allow us to take the natural next step in terms of international expansion and begin to build our network in the UK. We will also look to further develop various technical aspects of the platform to handle ever-increasing demand and crucially, bring Yours Florally to iOS and Android."
