A Benburb firm is creating 67 new jobs to help it service business across the UK.
The expansion by McCann Cabling Solutions (MCS) will see it carry out work for the KN Group which has won business to roll out fibre broadband in England, Scotland and Wales.
MCS will also open new offices in Aberdeenshire and said it will be taking on the new employees as fibre cabling engineers.
Its main business is providing a range of services to telecoms and utility companies, specifically around internal and external cable installations and associated ground works.
“Since establishing the business in 2013 we’ve witnessed rapid expansion as we service the roll out of fibre broadband to rural areas and premises across UK mainland, Scotland and Ireland, “ Ignatius McCann, Director of MCS, said. “We currently employ 83 staff and by the end of this year we expect that number to exceed 150 in total.”
“Our commitment to deliver projects on time and to budget with safety paramount, has seen our client base swell in the last year.
The plans for expansion also included the purchase of six new Volkswagen Crafter vans from the Donnelly Group.
“The six Volkswagen Crafter vans were specifically built for MCS and we’re delighted to partner the firm as the business continues to flourish,” Raymond Donnelly, Director at the Donnelly Group said.
