A Co Antrim manufacturer is creating 132 jobs as part of a £11m expansion of its Lisburn base.
Creative Composites is investing in new machinery and expansion of its facilities to capitalise on growth opportunities for composite components.
The company is the one of the UK’s most advanced composites manufacturer supplying a wide range of innovative products for demanding applications. It provides world leading products through a unique combination of better design, better manufacturing and better service. Of the 132 jobs being created, around half are already in place.
Jonathan Holmes, managing director of Creative Composites, said: “The applications for composites are endless and we are focused on expanding our business in key sectors including automotive and rail.
“Invest NI’s support was critical to investing in the very best plant and machinery that we need to achieve our ambitions. We are excited about this growth phase in the business and are making good progress with recruiting additional staff to support our continued development.”
The firm works with customers across a diverse range of industries including automotive, rail, bus and coach, off-highway and medical.
Invest NI has offered £1.5m towards this capital project part-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the Investment for Growth and Jobs Programme 2014-2020.
Invest NI chief executive, Alastair Hamilton, said: “This significant investment introduces new technology to Northern Ireland’s advanced manufacturing industry and enhances Creative Composites’ capability to produce high-tech composites for a range of applications.”
